Emerald City Music presents Denmark’s Dreamers’ Circus Folkband

What happens when a few classical musicians meet in a Copenhagen pub and start jamming on some folk tunes? One fateful night in 2009, Ale and Rune were standing in the corner of a pub in Copenhagen jamming some folk tunes. Nikolaj just came in, sat at the piano, and began to play along. A decade later, Dreamers’ Circus has toured the world performing at the Sydney Opera House, with the Polish Orchestra Sinfonia, and more. The group has earned the Danish Crown Prince Couple’s Rising Star Award as well as several Danish Music Awards over the years. Their collaborators include the Danish String Quartet, Väsen, and more. Join Emerald City Music –– the region’s bustling chamber music concert series – for this intimate evening on the Dreamers’ Circus debut US tour.
