Why did African American scholars, jazz musicians, singers, journalists, artists, students, Black Panthers, conscientious objectors among many others go to Denmark to perform, study, and to live? What were they searching for? What did they find? Learn why Booker T. Washington, Dexter Gordon, Ella Fitzgerald and other well-known and many unknown African Americans were captivated by this small Scandinavian country.
