Ár Var Alda: Ancient Scandinavian Studies Reading Circle

Ár Var Alda (ÁVA) is an ancient Scandinavian text reading circle meeting on the final Wednesday of every month at Skål Beer Hall in Seattle, Washington’s historic Ballard neighborhood.

We perform all reading at the meeting, require no previous knowledge, and conduct all reading and discussion in English.

ÁVA provides all necessary materials, but you’re welcome to bring any translation of your own. ÁVA is free—we only ask that you support our friends at Skål Beer Hall to thank them for sharing their space with us. We look forward to reading with you!
