Scandinavian Language Institute Classes Begin

The Scandinavian Language Institute offers language instruction classes to the general public in various levels of Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish here at the Nordic Museum. Class levels include Beginning, Know-A-Little (Continuing), Intermediate, and Advanced. Classes are scheduled each quarter throughout the school year. The first day of class for the Fall Session is September 24th. SLI offers two (2) nine-week classes and two (2) five-week classes that will run through December 11. Our second Sámi Film Festival explores Sámi values, visions, and stories. The day of shorts and documentaries from Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish Sámi includes panel discussions, filmmaker visits, and a happy hour. In partnership with Pacific Sámi Searvi.
