You are cordially invited to attend a special event hosted by Nordic Council of Greater Seattle on Thursday, June 17, at the Swedish Club, 1920 Dexter Ave. N., at 5:30 p.m.

This event in one of many events planned to bring the Greater Seattle Nordic community together to inspire and foster its growth, as we emerge from the pandemic. We look forward to seeing you—and others from the local Nordic American community–once again.

We will start the evening with a mix-and-mingle, where you can enjoy open-faced sandwiches with beer and wine on the house, with a full bar available to purchase other libations.

The program will begin at 6:00 p.m., when we will introduce the new Nordic Seattle website and talk about new opportunities for networking and collaboration within our local vibrant community.

The highlight of the evening will be an exclusive screening of the documentary film Passage to Sweden, which tells the story of events occurring in Scandinavia and Budapest during World War II. It focuses on the extraordinary heroic actions of ordinary people who saved the lives of thousands of Jews and fellow countrymen.

Filmmaker Suzannah Warlick will be present to discuss this story of extraordinary Nordic cooperation, with the opportunity to ask questions and share your own observations and experiences.
